Our Founder
The D. Geraldine Lawson Performing Arts Center On February 22, 1945, a remarkable spirit emerged in Wise County, Virginia. For 61 years, D. Geraldine Lawson illuminated the lives of her family, community, and church with her unwavering love and compassion. Those fortunate enough to know her experienced a profound warmth, as she selflessly dedicated herself uplifting everyone around her, especially her children, grandchildren, mother, and cherished husband. Geraldine’s legacy is one of brilliance, as she not only nurtured her family but also founded and led Attic Productions, Botetourt County’s beloved community theater, leaving behind a shining legacy of stars.


The Performing Arts Center's auditorium is available to rent.
The auditorium offer a seating capacity of 284, ample stage space and is served by a full complement of lighting and sound projection.
The center is also accessible to those with special requirements and for our scheduled shows our volunteers are ready to assist to make your evening out comfortable and enjoyable.
